| What effect does colored mulch have on plants? |
Using colored mulch actually aids in your plants growth and health. It helps prevent weed growth and aids the soil in retaining moisture. Using a standard fertilizer will offset any nitrogen that may be used up when wood mulch in initially layered. |

| How much colored mulch should be used? |
Generally, a 2-4 inch layer of mulch is recommended for the first time. Each year the mulch bed should be raked and topped with about 2 inches of new mulch. |

The mulch you receive may not be completely dry because of stockpiling. To prevent colorant from washing off, it is best to spread mulch when rain is not imminent. When correctly applied and allowed to dry completely, your new landscape design will stay looking beautiful. |

| Do the colors every wash off the mulch? |
Once the colorants dry, they’re on the mulch permanently. You will not experience any colorant wash-off. |

| How much mulch do I need to buy? |
First calculate the square footage of the area you would like to cover by multiplying the length x width. |
